The family Brahmaeidae are a small family consisting of about 30 species. The adults are medium size to very large with wingspan of 50–180 mm. Their wings are broadly triangular but mostly rounded and hindwings rounded. The wing patterns are dark brown scalloped and concentric light lines, plus other markings. Adults are nocturnal and their larvae feed on plant families of Asclepiadaceae and Oleaceae.
