Family Alucitidae (Many plumed moths)

Many-plumed mothsare a family of moths with modified wings, consisting of about six rigid spines, from which radiate flexible bristles creating a structure similar to a bird’s feather. The family is small consisting of 210 species globally. They tend to be found mostly in temperate to subtropical regions and tend to be rare even within the core range. These moths tend to be small, often be found fluttering in the evening or resting with its “wings” outstretched.
