Family Apatelodidae (American Silkworm Moths)

The family is undergoing taxonomic and phylogenetic revision, but are exclusively found in the New World, with the highest diversity in the Neotropics. Apatelodidae has historically been placed as subfamily Apatelodinae within the family Bombycidae.
